Definition: Headconut Enrollment

Headcount enrollment is a measure of the number of students enrolled. Full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollments are based on the total number of units (student credit hours) for all students in one academic year. For example, if a full-time course load for a year is 45 units, and students collectively took a total of 450 units, the FTE would be 10 (450 divided by 45) regardless of the number of students enrolled.
